Why does my home have flickering lights in one room?

Flickering isolated to one room is usually caused by a loose bulb, a faulty light switch, a loose wire connection at the fixture or switch, or an overloaded circuit. Start by tightening the bulb and trying a different bulb. If the switch feels loose or warm, replace it. If the flickering continues, the wiring in that room may have a loose connection. This is a fire risk and should be inspected by an electrician.
