Why does my toilet flush weakly?
A weak flush is usually caused by clogged rim holes under the toilet bowl rim, a mineral-clogged jet hole at the bottom of the bowl, or low water level in the tank. Clean the rim holes with a small wire or paperclip. Use a mirror to check and clean the jet hole. Adjust the fill valve so the water level in the tank is about half an inch below the overflow tube. If problems persist, the toilet may need a new flush valve.
Why It Matters
A weak flush means waste does not clear the bowl effectively, leading to double flushing, clogs, and potential sanitation issues.
